Adriana Lacy is an award-winning journalist and entrepreneur living in Boston. She founded Adriana Lacy Consulting, where she helps publishers and businesses build their digital audiences and navigate the evolving media landscape. As a leader in AI consulting, she guides organizations through the strategic implementation of artificial intelligence in their content and business operations.
Before starting her own company, Adriana worked in newsrooms at The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Axios, where she developed her expertise in digital media and audience engagement. She also runs influencerjournalism.com, focusing on the intersection of influence and journalism in today's media environment.
Her passion for education has taken her to classrooms across the country. Currently an adjunct professor at Brandeis University, she has also taught at the University of Southern California, Loyola Marymount University, and Boston University, where she led graduate-level courses. She served as a journalist in residence at Penn State and is faculty for the University of Toronto's Dalla Lana Fellowship in Journalism and Health Impact, where she teaches audience engagement to subject-matter specialists from around the world. The fellowship's seven-month training program has produced nearly 300 alumni who have become award-winning reporters, impactful leaders, and effective professionals across various fields.
Her work earned recognition when she was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2023, highlighting her impact across consulting, journalism, and education.
