Alba Mora Roca is Executive Producer at AJ+, where she leads a 28-person team making social video that centers the Global South. A digital newsroom leader with roots in visual storytelling, she’s shaped video strategy at El País América, built interactives at The Associated Press, and now pushes the boundaries of multilingual journalism with AI.

If there’s one constant in her career, it’s that everything changes. The accomplishments she’s most proud of come from staying ahead of what’s next—riding the waves of digital video, mobile, and social before they hit the mainstream.

Her work has earned the Gabriel García Márquez Journalism Prize and the POY Latam Multimedia Award. She holds a Master’s from UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and regularly mentors and speaks at journalism forums worldwide.

When not juggling time zones, she’s likely snorkeling or hiking somewhere along the Mediterranean coast.
